Australian swimming hero Kyle Chalmers had extra motivation before his victorious 100m freestyle final, with a personalised message from NBA star Kevin Durant being delivered pre-race.

Chalmers, who has idolised Durant since his early teens, watches a videos of the new Golden State star before every race - including his MVP speech and a highlights package.
But Australian swim team manager Gary Vanderburgt went one better by hunting down the Team USA star at the Olympics athletes village.
