Australian doubles champion Mark Woodforde believes Nick Kyrgios needs to see a psychologist or doctor in order to reach his potential.

Kyrgios has been criticised for his attitude and committment after admitting he played video games to prepare for his eventual straight sets loss to Andy Murray in the Wimbledon fourth round.

"Some of the choices he is making are quite questionable," Woodforde said.

"Look at his preparation yesterday, getting up and playing computer games. Not what you would expect from a future champion.

"Maybe it is not a coach (that he needs), maybe it is a psychologist or doctor of some sort who can help him with issues because I think it does start off the court with him."

When asked if he would ever consider coaching Kyrgios, Woodforde replied with a "big no".

"I wouldn't be sitting in the stand being told to stand up and down, clap, and being spoken to in that manner," he said.
