Bill Belichick is a man who believes that in order for his team to win, everybody must do their jobs. Apparently, his mantra also extends to jerseys.

The Patriots, despite being designated as the home team in Super Bowl 52, will break out their road white jerseys for their matchup against the Eagles, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

SUPER BOWL 52: Picks for Eagles vs. Patriots

White jerseys have brought good luck not only to New England, but many teams in the Super Bowl.

Twelve of the last 13 Super Bowl winners have worn their white jerseys, a trend that actually began the last time the Patriots faced the Eagles. The one exception came after the 2010 season, when Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in their green jerseys broke up what was then a six-game winning streak for white jerseys.

STEELE: Why, how Eagles can upset Patriots

In 2016, Broncos general manager and executive vice president John Elway mentioned the team's previous success in white jerseys when Denver had the first pick of uniforms as the home team for Super Bowl 50.

"We’ve had some Super Bowl success in our white uniforms," Elway said before Denver's win over Carolina, "and we’re looking forward to wearing them again in Super Bowl 50."

Even if you're not a superstitious sports fan, it's tough to deny that white jerseys bring good luck in the Super Bowl.
