The 2025 NFL Draft and subsequent free agency period have sent another three Australians into the professional ranks of American football.
In Super Bowl LVII, Sydney's own Jordan Mailata hoisted the trophy for the Philadelphia Eagles, inspiring many Australian athletes to follow in his footsteps.
Whilst Mailata has come to fame by playing on the offensive line, the majority of Aussies who get picked up by NFL programs are kickers and punters.
This is courtesy of the ProKick Australia program, running out of Melbourne, which takes athletes from other football codes and trains them as specialists using the skills that they've already acquired.
The 2025 class saw one Australian drafted, with two others picked up as undrafted free agents a few hours later.
Jeremy Crawshaw – Drafted by the Denver Broncos (Round 6, Pick 216)
Crawshaw is a punter who spent five seasons playing for the University of Florida.
The 23-year-old now joins a Denver Broncos team who is coming off a playoff berth and is coached by the legendary Sean Payton.

The Emu Plains product will now compete with Matt Haack for the Broncos' punting duties and joins fellow Aussie Cameron Johnston (Pittsburgh Steelers) in the American Football Conference.
James Burnip – Signed by the New Orleans Saints (Undrafted Free Agent)
Burnip is a punter who spent four seasons in the college ranks playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Hailing from Victoria, Burnip was projected pre-Draft as someone who would likely have his name called at some point over the seven rounds.
Instead, the Saints pick up yet another Aussie to compete with their incumbent Matthew Hayball, who comes from Adelaide.

Oscar Chapman – Signed by the Minnesota Vikings (Undrafted Free Agent)
Continuing the trend of Australians going to the NFL, Chapman is yet another punter to be picked up in undrafted free agency.
The South Australian man spent the past four years playing for the Auburn Tigers in the SEC.
He signed with the Minnesota Vikings and will compete with Ryan Wright this offseason for the starting job.
