Youngstown State wins FCS playoff semifinal on last-second behind-the-back catch image

Youngstown State may have pulled off the Play of the Year in college football Saturday with its game-winning score vs. Eastern Washington in an FCS playoff semifinal.

The unseeded Penguins needed a last-second touchdown to upset the second-seeded Eagles 40-38. Even better? The receiver who caught the game-winning touchdown, Kevin Rader, caught it against the defender's back.

Youngstown State then took a knee on the point-after attempt to prevent the Eagles from making a 2-point return to tie the game.

What better way to celebrate impending victory than with a backflip? Right, Damoun Patterson?

Making the touchdown even more dramatic was the way in which Youngstown State came back to win: The Penguins were down 31-20 at the start of the fourth quarter, then outscored the Eagles 20-7 in the period.

Bo Pelini's Penguins will now play for the FCS title against No. 4 seed James Madison, which upset No. 1 seed and five-time defending FCS champ North Dakota State on Friday.
