Ole Miss defensive end Fadol Brown posted a tweet Tuesday night saying Walter Scott, the South Carolina man fatally shot in the back by a police officer last weekend, was his stepfather.
The tweet no longer appears on Brown’s account.

North Charleston police officer Michael Slager was charged with murder after firing eight shots at Scott, who was running away from the officer following a traffic stop, according to The Post and Courier.
Brown, a redshirt junior, is from Charleston.
