Miami backup QB Tucker Beirne arrested, charged with cocaine possession image

Miami (Fla.) took a hit at its quarterback depth on Saturday after redshirt freshman Tucker Beirne was arrested on charges of cocaine possession.

Beirne, 19, was arrested during a traffic stop at 12:24 a.m. on Saturday, and, according to arrest records, charged with a misdemeanor count traffic offense (blood alcohol level of .08 or more) and a felony count of cocaine possession.

The university had no comment on Beirne's arrest. 

The Hurricanes will take on Florida A&M at home at 6 p.m. Saturday.
