Cincinnati coach Tommy Tuberville is reportedly stepping down as the Bearcats' coach, according to a report from FootballScoop.com.

Tuberville coached four seasons at Cincinnati, coaching his team to nine-win seasons in 2013 and '14 before falling to 7-6 in 2015. His Bearcats finished 4-8 in 2016.

While Tuberville's record as a coach speaks for itself (he has a 159-99 record at four coaching stops in Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas Tech and Cincinnati), he only achieved a 29-22 record at Cincinnati and yelled at a fan to "go to hell" and to "get a job" after a loss this season. That likely didn't help his case.

Western Kentucky's Jeff Brohm, Western Michigan's PJ Fleck and Troy's Neal Brown are the prime candidates to replace Tuberville.
