Louisville hasn't wasted time finding a new guard after Terry Rozier's departure for the NBA.

On Tuesday, Cleveland State's Trey Lewis announced that he will transfer to Louisville.

Lewis, who will be eligible immediately as a fifth-year graduate student, confirmed the news on Twitter before his announcement in the Cleveland area.

"I'll be playing for a legendary coach in Rick Pitino and in front of the greatest fans in the nation," Lewis said, according to Cleveland.com.

Lewis, 6-3, averaged 16.7 points per game for the Vikings last season and shot the ball efficiently from deep, hitting 42.3 percent of his 3-point attempts. He hopes he'll be able to make an immediate impact on a Louisville team that will lose three starters this offseason.

"What it came down to was the need and the want from Louisville was the perfect situation for me and what I'm looking for going into this last year," said Lewis, per Cleveland.com.

While he was excited about the move to Louisville, Lewis was also appreciative of his time at Cleveland State.
