Louisville suspends Chris Jones, won't play against Syracuse image

No. 12 Louisville will be without guard Chris Jones for at least Wednesday's road game against Syracuse.

Kenny Klein, the team's senior athletic director, tweeted the news Tuesday. Klein didn't offer any more information, but Louisville coach Rick Pitino told ESPN's Jeff Goodman the suspension could last longer than Wednesday.

Sports Illustrated's Brian Hamilton made a similar report.

Jones, a starter for the Cardinals, is the team's third-highest scorer (13.6 points per game) and leads the team in assists (3.7 per game).
