From talent and skill to athleticism and physical attributes, it's very evident that NBA players are far from the typical person. Case in point: the average height for an NBA player is 6-foot-6.74 inches.
With that in mind, there is a group of NBA players that still stand out among the rest, towering above a league that already boasts some of the tallest people in the world.
According to NBA.com, 37 players that measure at or above the 7-foot benchmark suited up for at least one NBA game during the 2022-23 season. Among them are two members of the All-NBA First Team: reigning MVP Joel Embiid and two-time MVP Giannis Antetokokunmpo, both of whom come in at 7 feet.
Just missing the cut is another two-time MVP in Nikola Jokic, who measures in at 6-foot-11.

Who are the tallest NBA players?
Boban Marjanovic holds the title of the NBA's tallest player at 7-foot-4.
Interestingly enough, Marjanovic was listed at 7-foot-3 last season but now stands alone in the top spot, literally inching out Kristaps Porzingis, who again measured at 7-foot-3 this season. After the top two, there is a group of four players that measure 7-foot-2.

Tallest players in NBA history
Manute Bol and Gheorghe Muresan share the distinction of being the tallest player in NBA history. They each measured at 7-foot-7. The late Bol is the father of Orlando's Bol Bol, who is the third-tallest player in the NBA today.
According to Basketball-Reference.com, which does not currently include Marjanovic, there are 13 players in NBA history that are listed at 7-foot-4 or taller.
