Orlando Magic rookie centre Mo Bamba will be out after suffering a stress fracture in his left tibia, the team announced today.

Bamba, who was selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, is averaging 6.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks through the first 47 games of his career. The 20-year-old has scored in double figures seven times this season, including a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double in a win over the Spurs early on in the season.
While ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports the injury will sideline Bamba for a "significant period of time", it does not appear that the rookie will need surgery.

At 22-31, the Magic are currently three games behind the Heat for the Eastern Conference's final playoff spot. Orlando opens its four-game week Wednesday as it visits Oklahoma City at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
