Lachlan Olbrich is well on his way to hearing his name called in the 2025 NBA Draft, after an impressive pre-draft process.
Following his role on the Illawarra Hawks' NBL title run, the 21-year-old turned heads at the G League Elite Camp, earning himself an invite to the NBA Draft Combine.
From there, he has continued to put his name on the map, following a pair of impressive performances in front of the league's top decision makers.

NBL champion Olbrich preparing for NBA Draft
Lachlan Olbrich will hope to follow in the footsteps of LaMelo Ball and AJ Johnson, and become the latest Illawarra Hawk to be drafted into the NBA.
The Adelaide-born player was not initially extending a combine invite, but after some elite play he forced his way into the event, and has capitalised on it in a huge way, bolstering his draft stock with a number of elite showings - crediting the Australian league for his development.
"The NBL is a tough league," Olbrich said.
"I think someone once said, 'It’s not a cupcake league,' and that’s very real.
"I was thrown into the deep end after just one year of college and had to adapt quickly. I’ve learned so much about the game and from the peers I’ve played with. It’s helped me develop a lot as a player.
"It’s a different style of game compared to what we play in the NBL, but I feel like I’m bringing a bit of that NBL play style here. I try to direct and coach on the court and be more vocal.
"I’m trying to keep a steady ship, but the possibility of it happening is definitely becoming more real.
"I’m just trying to stay humble, keep my head down and keep working."
Olbrich will now hope to be one of the 59 names called during the draft next month.
