The NBL will see one of its biggest stars return this season, with Montrezl Harrell re-signing with the Adelaide 36ers.

Harrell, who was named to the All-NBL Second Team after the 2024-25 season, will return to the City of Churches as they look to improve upon last year's play-in loss.

He will join superstar signing Bryce Cotton, as well as former teammates Dejan Vasiljevic and Isaac Humphries, shaping up to be a serious title threat this season.

Montrezl Harrell re-signs with Adelaide 36ers

The Adelaide 36ers have continued to beef up their star power, re-signing big man Montrezl Harrell for the 2025-26 season.

Harrell, the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year in 2020, impressed in his debut NBL season, averaging 20.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per game for Adelaide.

"Man it’s a blessing to be back down under wit a great club that actually values what I bring to table!," Harrell wrote via X, formerly Twitter.

"Thank you Adelaide!!!! Let’s have some fun this year man because it will be a lot fun for me!!!!"

Harrell spent time in both the Chinese and Puerto Rican national leagues during the NBL off-season, as well as signing to Ice Cube's 3x3 league the Big 3, but has now opted to return down under.

He will now get the chance to go one better, returning to the team alongside Cotton in the second year of head coach Mike Wells' tenure.

The 36ers now have one more import spot to fill, before the season tips off in October.
