Nobody saw this Brandin Podziemski news coming.
The Warriors starting guard is a last-minute questionable for Wednesday night's Game 2 of the first round of the NBA playoffs against the Houston Rockets.
Podziemski isn't injured, not really.
Rather, he's feeling ill. Golden State coach Steve Kerr said that Podziemski ate something that messed up his system, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk.
Podziemski's status "is still to be determined for the game," per ESPN.
About 45 minutes before tip, the Warriors announced Podziemski was active and available.

The lefty did his usual part in the series opener.
In Golden State's 95-85 win, Podziemski had 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. He drilled three 3-pointers and played 35 minutes with a +17 plus-minus.
This was a breakout season for Podziemski, who shone in the second half of the campaign. He averaged nearly 12 points per game in the regular season.
If Podziemski is out, Golden State will have to decide on who to move into the starting lineup.
Buddy Hield is the most clear 2-guard replacement, although he's been solid coming off the bench.

Golden State could also slide Moses Moody, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green down a lineup spot and start Quinten Post at center.
Gary Payton II is another backcourt option for Kerr.
Ideally for the Warriors, Podziemski will get his stomach figured out and just be good to go.
