Taran Armstrong followed an impressive NBL season with a call-up to the NBA this year, joining the Golden State Warriors as a two-way player for their home stretch.
The Australian point guard impressed for the Cairns Taipans, and his play was enough to see him join Steve Kerr's squad, and while he did not see any playing time he logged plenty of minutes in the G League for Santa Cruz.
According to one Warriors coach, Armstrong is a talented player, and one that he can see becoming a key part of the team's roster.

Khalid Robinson, the Warriors assistant coach, told Sporting News Australia that while Armstrong has some key areas to work on, he is absolutely talented enough to make his mark on the NBA.
"Taren is a very skilled point guard," Robinson said.
"He has great IQ, good feel, great passer. He has a good size. I think he's a guy that has the potential to help us.
"He has to continue to grow. He has areas of his game that our player development staff has worked on him with that he needs to improve upon. But I think he's definitely a player that has potential to help in the future.
"He just has to keep growing in the areas that we've spoken to him about. But I think when he came over, it was a process where we had to adapt, a new style of play, new country, new teammates.
"He joined us pretty late in the season, but he's a pretty easygoing guy who just goes with the flow. So he meshed well with our guys and the roster."
Armstrong averaged 11.5 points, 7.8 assists, and 6 rebounds across 11 games for the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League in 2025.
