Rugby league is still going on despite other sports in the country calling it quits due to coronavirus - and that means we are getting some interesting performances on the field.

And Wests Tigers recruit Joey Leilua certainly did his best to get people talking...albeit, not in a positive light.

The 28-year old had a tough day out as his new side went down 42-24 to Newcastle on Sunday arvo, and it certainly won't impress his new coach Michael Maguire.

Leilua ran for 66 metres, missed four tackles and made three errors in the Tigers defeat - and some of his reads in defence were confusing.

This comes just days after the star centre said he wouldn't want to take a paycut due to COVID-19, and people on Twitter were certainly none-too-pleased with his disappointing display.


 


 


 


 


 

Some of the vitriol on Twitter was directed at his younger brother Luciano, but the second-rower probably had a better day at the office than his older sibling.

The forward ran for 87 metres, scored a try and made 37 tackles but did come up with a couple of ordinary reads in defence.
