Daytona Duels 2018: Qualifying race start times, lineups, format image

Single-car qualifying for the 2018 Daytona 500 took place Sunday and set the front row for the 60th running of The Great American Race. It also set the starting lineup for Thursday's Can-Am Duel qualifying races, which will set the rest of the field for the Daytona 500.

2018 Daytona 500 pole winner Alex Bowman and second-place qualifier Denny Hamlin will start first in their respective Duel races, with Bowman leading the field to the green flag in the first Duel at 7 p.m. ET and Hamlin leading the field to green in the second Duel at 9 p.m. ET.

The results of the first Duel on Thursday will set the inside row for the Daytona 500, and the results of the second Duel will set the outside row. Each Duel will be a 60-lap, 150-mile race. All 40 cars that entered this year will compete in the Can-Am Duel qualifying races and make the field for the Daytona 500.

When are Daytona Duels 2018?

This year's Can-Am Duel qualifying races for the Daytona 500 are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 15, with the first race starting at 7 p.m. ET and the second race scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.

FS1 will televise both Can-Am Duel qualifying races, with the radio call available via MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Daytona Duels 2018: Qualifying race lineups

Starting lineups for Thursday's Can-Am Duel qualifying races were determined by the finishing order of Sunday's single-car qualifying. The teams that qualified in odd-numbered positions (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc.) will compete in Duel 1. Even-numbered qualifiers will compete in Duel 2.

Daytona Duels 2018: Format, points payout

Each Can-Am Duel on Thursday will be a 60-lap, 150 mile race. Both Duels again will award regular-season points heading into the Daytona 500.

The winner of each Duel will get 10 points, with one less point per place from second through 10th, which will earn one point. Unlike at the end of stages in Monster Energy Cup Series races, the winner of each Duel will not receive one playoff point.
