Which driver has the most Bathurst 1000 wins?

Plenty of top drivers have taken part in the Bathurst 1000, but there is only one undisputed 'King of the Mountain' — Peter Brock.

The legendary racer competed in 32 editions of the race at Mount Panorama, winning the event nine times between 1972 and 1987.

How many laps is the Bathurst 1000?

Drivers complete 161 laps around Mount Panorama during the Bathurst 1000.

The single lap distance is 6.213 kilometres, adding up to the famous 1000km mark.

What is the fastest lap recorded at Mount Panorama?

Walkinshaw Andretti United driver Chaz Mostert holds the current lap record during a Bathurst 1000, whipping around the track in a time of 2:03.3732 in 2021.

Outside of 'The Great Race', the fastest lap belongs to Christopher Mies, with the German racer recording a time of 1:59.2910 during the 2018 Challenge Bathurst, driving a GT3-spec Audi R8 Ultra.

As far as unofficial laps go, it is no major surprise that a Formula 1 car holds the record — by a significant margin.

Jenson Button flung a McLaren MP4-23 around the Bathurst track during an exhibition session in 2011 in a time of 1:48.88.
