Kiwi light heavyweight Carlos Ulberg will stake his claim for a title shot when he faces Dominick Reyes in the main event at UFC Fight Night Perth on September 28.
Ulberg, 34, is riding an eight-fight winning streak in the UFC, which has him ranked third at 205-pounds.
A statement win over the eighth-ranked Reyes will almost certainly put Ulberg at the front of the queue for a shot at the winner of the upcoming title rematch between Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira at UFC 320, one week after the Perth card.

Reyes is on a three-fight winning run of his own, having previously dropped four on the trot, starting with a close decision defeat in a title fight with Jon Jones back in 2020.
The 35-year-old Californian will be hoping to push his own case for another title shot with victory over the City Kickboxing product.
Several other fights have been confirmed for UFC Perth, with the full card to be locked in over the coming weeks.
