Melbourne Storm's thrilling win over the Brisbane Broncos has come at a cost with stars Cameron Munster and Suliasi Vunivalu set to miss significant periods of the season.

The Storm came from behind in the second half to record the 14-12 victory but also were hit with the injury blows during this period.

Munster will miss 4-6 weeks after a collision with Corey Oates fractured his jaw, while a dislocated shoulder to Vunivalu will likely keep him sidelined for 3-4 weeks.

The Storm will have time to lick their wounds after two away trips in the first three rounds - their next match isn't for 10 days against Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval.
