Gillett is thought to have been in discussion with Cronulla and Gold Coast for many weeks but, according to Rugby League Week, is set to be offered a massive deal by the Northern Beaches club.

Reported to be worth around $600,000 a season for the first two years and rising to $700,000 for the final two years, the contract would represent a significant increase on Gillett's current deal, thought to in the region of $450,000.

The 28-year-old would bolster the Sea Eagles forward pack which has lost Luke Burgess, Feleti Mateo and Tom Symonds in recent times.

Gillett would add some much needed quality and experience to Trent Barrett's side.
