The Brisbane Broncos complaining about a short turnaround – despite having SIX days between games?
Yep, that’s right.
The club that gets more favours from the NRL draw than any other club is moaning about having to play the Cowboys in Townsville on Friday night - six days after their last game against Manly.
“It’s always tough to win up there,” Thaiday said after the win over Manly.
“It’s a short turnaround for us. We’re back to training Tuesday and get the two sessions in (before) flying up there.”
Two days off and two training session?
Some clubs – like Manly and St George Illawarra – have been lucky to cram in one training session let alone two due to a series of short turnaround and heavy travel schedules.
Thaiday’s comments come after the Broncos’ non-rep players enjoyed a 12-day break before playing Manly.
And guess what?
After playing the Cowboys, Friday night pets Brisbane will receive another week’s break before meeting the Tigers on a Friday night at Suncorp Stadium.
Luxury.
