How do golf world rankings work?
Both the men's and women's golf rankings systems are similar.
A player's performance is evaluated over a rolling two-year period, with weighting placed in favour of the current year, and more weighting put on the most recent 13 weeks.
More points are available at certain tournaments depending on field strength.
Specific point distributions and ranking calculation details can be found here.
When are golf world rankings updated?
Men's and women's rankings are updated weekly, with new standings typically made available each Monday.
