Melbourne will officially host the 2026 Formula 1 season opener.
The Australian Grand Prix returned as the first race of the campaign this year and has successfully retained its place on the calendar.
Notably, the event with mark the debut of Cadillac – F1's soon-to-be 11th team.
With bumper crowds flocking to Albert Park capital in past years, another sold-out spectacle is anticipated.

Melbourne F1 dates, schedule
Albert Park will host the F1 Australian Grand Prix from Friday, March 6 to Sunday, March 8, 2026.
It is set to take place over a standard race weekend format, with two practice sessions on Friday, a further practice session and qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday.

Organisers have stated that ticket details will be confirmed in "the coming months".
As a guide, general sale tickets for the 2025 event went on sale in early October.
The cheapest four-day adult general admission pass for the previous grand prix was AU$309, with prices yet to be confirmed for next year's race.

Melbourne F1 location
The Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, Victoria, will continue to host the Australian Grand Prix.
The temporary street circuit is conveniently located just south of the city's CBD.
It has undergone a number of renovations in recent years.
In 2022, seven corners were adjusted – with two removed entirely – to enable more overtaking opportunities and promote faster and more competitive racing.
The chicane at Turns 9 and 10 was also removed.
