Matildas and Manchester City star Mary Fowler has become the second Australian in a week named as an EA FC Future Star.

A week after Arsenal's Aussie gun Kyra Cooney-Cross was selected in Future Stars Team 1, Fowler was picked in the second team released on Saturday.

Fowler and Cooney-Cross are the first-ever Australians to feature as EA Sports FC Future Stars - a concept that began in 2019.

Alongside Fowler in Team 2 featured the likes of Amad Diallo (Man Utd), Bradley Barcola (PSG), Joao Neves (PSG) and Aleksandar Pavlovic (Bayern).

Cooney-Cross was also in esteemed company in Team 1 alongside talent including Lamine Yamal (Barcelona), Endrick (Real Madrid), Leny Yoro (Man Utd), Joao Gomes (Wolves) and Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig).

Fowler's Future Stars card is a 90-rated striker, featuring 90 pace, 90 dribbling, 88 shooting, 84 passing and 80 physical.

She was excited to be given the rare honour of being an EA Sports FC Future Star but explained she wouldn't let individual accolades affect her focus.

"It's weird [to be a Future Star]," Fowler said.

"It's really nice feedback but I try not to look into stuff like that a bit too much because I don't want the pressure on myself.

"I take the feedback - it's really nice to hear."

However, don't expect Fowler to be challenging anyone in the online streets of EA Sports FC.

"Horrible," Fowler laughed. "I'm not very good [at EA Sports FC].

"I would give myself a solid four - depends who I'm playing, it might be less."
