Arsenal vs. AC Milan lineups, team news: Tour of Asia begins as Norgaard makes debut, Zubimendi on bench for preseason friendly image

Arsenal begin their preseason tour of Asia with a game against Serie A giants AC Milan in Singapore on Wednesday, hoping to have a few new signings aboard.

Martin Zubimendi, already with the club, is eyeing his Gunners debut, while fans have dreams of Viktor Gyokeres dancing in their heads.

The start of the 2025/26 season comes with significant promise for Arsenal, who performed exceptionally last campaign and were just a few pieces short of contending for titles both domestically and abroad. Now looking close to signing a talisman striker, there could be big things on the horizon for Mikel Arteta's side.

The Sporting News runs through the latest team news and injury updates for this preseason fixture.

New midfield signing Christian Norgaard starts against Milan, while fellow new arrivals Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi are on the bench. Noni Madueke, signed from Chelsea last week, will not feature yet as he is on a short break following the Blues' FIFA Club World Cup campaign. Viktor Gyokeres has not signed yet and will need time to link up with the club and get to training before he can appear in a match.

Bukayo Saka captains the side and will seemingly start at the No. 10 position, behind Kai HavertzWilliam Saliba partners Riccardo Calafiori in defence.

Arsenal's only injury worry at this point in preseason is the continued recovery of forward Gabriel Jesus from his ACL tear last winter. Jesus is expected to be ready for action soon but will be brought back slowly given his history of knee injuries.
