Adelaide United has been knocked out of the FFA Cup by Queensland NPL side Redlands United 2-1 after extra-time in the biggest upset in the competition's history.

The reigning A-League champions held a 1-0 lead until second-half stoppage time after new signing Ryan Kitto found the net in the 62nd minute, but a howler from experienced goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic allowed Michael Lee to equalise and send the game into extra-time.
Eight minutes into extra-time, Redlands' Paul O'Brien sidefooted home from close range and the home side managed to keep Adelaide out and earn a famous victory.
