Chelsea block Bayern’s first move as Nkunku saga takes dramatic new twist image

While Chelsea are eager to offload Christopher Nkunku this summer, they have been pretty clear about the terms of the potential sale.

The Blues are hoping to get rid of the Frenchman on a permanent basis this summer, after two underwhelming seasons at Stamford Bridge, where he failed to live up to the big reputation that he came with.

Though Nkunku reportedly impressed Maresca during the Club World Cup, the club are reportedly keen on moving the player on.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are reportedly one of the sides keen to sign Nkunku this summer and have been in contact with Chelsea about a possible deal for some time now.

However, so far, the German giants have only expressed their interest in signing the player on loan, something that Enzo Maresca’s team is not interested in doing.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Chelsea have blocked Munich’s initial approach for the player.

Bayern Munich to return with permanent offer for Christopher Nkunku

More importantly, it has also been revealed that Nkunku is not interested in a loan move to any club and would prefer to get his career back on track with a permanent move instead.

Now, journalist Marc Mechenoua has claimed that Bayern are now expected to return with a transfer offer, while Inter Milan and Newcastle United have reignited their interest.

He said, “After having made a loan request for Christopher Nkunku, rejected by Chelsea, Bayern Munich will come back with a transfer offer. Inter Milan and Newcastle have also re-entered the race. Two projects that interest the Frenchman.”

Chelsea have already signed a host of attackers this summer and are reportedly not done just yet. The West London club is reportedly waiting to move Nkunku on so that they can then go forward and complete the signing of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig.

The Blues have reportedly already agreed on personal terms with the player and are eager to put in an initial bid for him.

They have also heavily been linked with Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United and are waiting to make their move for him as well.
