Maylea Tinecheff says she still loves Cousins and wants him in her life.

"The kids need you, we need you – just come to us," Ms Tinecheff told Channel 7’s Sunday Night program.

The former West Coast champion is currently serving 12-months jail time for stalking and breaching a violence restraining order put in place by Ms Tinecheff, as well as drug related charges.

Cousins continually harassed his former partner, at one point calling her 103 times in a single day.

"The drugs have destroyed him, he's a broken man,” Tinecheff said.

"Paranoia, lies, stealing things...he was violent.

"He would just turn up (at) my house in the middle of the night (and) bang on the door.”
