With just three of the top 16 dartsplayers in the world competing at Player Championship event 22, there were opportunities for lower-ranked players to make a run in the event.

Several lower-ranked players did just that, including Poland's Sebastian Bialecki.

Bialecki wins first career PDC title

After a few years of competing in PDC events, Bialecki can finally breathe a sigh of relief after getting a coveted first title.

He averaged 95.05 for the day, en route to the event win.

His day started with a 6-5 win over Lukas Wenig.

In the round of 64, he beat Adam Paxton 6-2.

He averaged just 89.98 in his round of 32 game against Luke Woodhouse, but it was enough to come away with a 6-4 win. Woodhouse averaged just 84.35.

In the last 16, he beat Scotland's Cameron Menzies 6-4. Both players averaged over 100 in this game, with Bialecki producing a 102.00 and Menzies averaging 101.36.

In the quarterfinal round, Bialecki once again averaged north of 100, producing an average of 101.00 in a 6-4 win over 2025 World Matchplay quarterfinalist Gian van Veen.

Bialecki would go on to play another pair of Dutch players, starting with Danny Noppert in the semifinal round. He defeated Noppert 7-5, averaging 92.90.

He took home the event win in an 8-6 final win over Niels Zonneveld.

The ProTour is back in action on Wednesday, July 29, for Players Championship 23.

It will be the last ProTour event until the end of August.
