Australia will be looking to close out this Ashes series at the MCG on Boxing Day, but will Josh Hazlewood be available?
The fast bowler was a late withdrawal from the Australian team prior to the start of the second Test after he sustained a side strain at the Gabba.
He was replaced by Jhye Richardson.
Both Hazlewood and his teammate Pat Cummins were withdrawn from the squad in Adelaide.
Is Josh Hazlewood playing on Boxing Day?
UPDATE (20/12/21)
Pat Cummins will return to Australia's full squad as the list of 15 players selected was announced as unchanged for the rest of the Ashes series against England.
This does not guarantee him a spot in the Boxing Day XI, however.
Jhye Richardson and Michael Neser both showed their abilities in Adelaide, although Hazlewood is favoured to be selected for Melbourne.
Australia has also added fast bowler Scott Boland to their Ashes Boxing Day Test squad, as concerns grow over the fitness of several regulars.
When is the third Ashes Test?
England will take on Australia in the iconic Boxing Day Test from December 26 - December 30 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
A draw or win against the visitors in the third Test will be enough to hand Australia the series victory.
