Australia is defending their World Test Championship title at The Lord's in London against South Africa from June 11 to 15 after their maiden triumph in 2023 over India.
The Aussies have retained their core group of players from the last final which was played at the Oval, with only David Warner calling it a day since the previous final.

Which Australian players could retire after the WTC final 2025?
As the team would head into a new cycle of 2025-27 with the home Ashes series approaching at the end of the year, below are the players who could call it a day after the ongoing final.
1. Usman Khawaja:
The 38-year-old opener was dismissed for a 20-ball duck in the final and will be turning 39 in the Aussie summer when the team will be in the middle of the Ashes series.
The management could look at someone younger to take over the opening position with an eye as a long-term replacement.
The notable names around the opening spot in the recent series have been Sam Konstas and Nathan McSweeney, while Marnus Labuschagne also got a nod to open vs SA.

2. Scott Boland:
One of their stars from the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Boland, is 36 and could still play the home Ashes series at the end of the year.
However, the management could also have a conversation with the speedster regarding his future and look at how his body adjusts as he will approach 40 by the end of the new WTC cycle.
3. Nathan Lyon:
Approaching 38 in the coming months, Lyon — a stalwart of the Australian Test side could also make room for the youngsters to develop for the next final that will be in 2027, when he will be about 40.
