Glenn Maxwell powered Australia to an incredible win over South Africa in the third and final T20I on Saturday as the hosts clinched the series 2-1.

Dewald Brewis starred in the first inning of the match with an incredible half-century, where he also hit three back-to-back no-look sixes, as the Proteas posted 172 runs on board in 20 overs.

While chasing the target, Australia lost their top order for just 88 runs as Mitchell Marsh was the only player to cross a half-century. The South African bowling looked disciplined and steady in the middle overs and at one point, it seemed that they would restrict Australia and clinch a historic series win.

However, Maxwell had different plans as he single-handedly navigated his side to glory and remained not out at 62 runs off 36 balls in the end.

After completing his 50, the experienced Australian batter pulled off a unique celebration, as he emulated late Liverpool star Diogo Jota's clapping celebration. It was done in a bid to pay tribute to the Portugal star, who, along with his younger brother, passed away last month in a tragic car accident in Spain.
