After one of the most successful years of Big Bash cricket to date, the BBL will return this year in a completely different world.

With COVID-19 causing havoc on the world's sporting calendar, cricket certainly hasn't been immune.

But rest assured, the cricket is still going to be of a high standard, well at least if the broadcasters have their way.

WHO IS PLAYING IN THE BBL?

The BBL is an eight-team tournament.

The teams are the Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder.

BBL FIXTURES

In July, Cricket Australia confirmed the fixtures for both BBL10 and WBBL06

BBL10 is scheduled to begin on Thursday, December 10 . The Hurricanes will take on the defending champion Sixers at Blundstone Arena in the opening game of the tournament.

The BBL won't change to a one-city hub, but modifications will be made to reduce travel as much as possible.

FULL BBL 10 FIXTURES

The schedule for the upcoming Big Bash season has been confirmed, with the 10th edition of the T20 format to get underway on December 10.

Border restrictions and biosecurity protocols have forced a reshuffle to the format, with games to be played in a limited number of cities initially.
