Canelo Alvarez faces another tall task when he defends his status as the undisputed super middleweight champion against Jaime Munguia on May 4. The fight airs on Amazon Prime and DAZN.

It took Canelo only eleven months to become the undisputed super middleweight champion, joining an elite group that can currently call themselves that. Beating Caleb Plant, Canelo is 3-1 in his last four fights. He bested Jermell Charlo in a one-sided affair in September.

Canelo Alvarez has fought some of the best in boxing. At a young age, he faced Floyd Mayweather in his prime, and though he lost, that may have been the start of Canelo's journey to greatness. Now, at 33 and battle tested, there is a chance the glory days are behind the Mexican warrior. He does not believe so, as Canelo is ready to box just a bit longer.

"Yes, I feel very good, in my best moment," Canelo told Azteca Deportes via Marca. "I think I'll be here for three or four more years. Maybe sooner, we don't know. It's all in how I feel, until I say, 'Yeah, I'm going to dedicate myself to my business. But I still love and enjoy what I do, and I'm going to go fight after fight, and as long as I stay like this, as you see it now in the gym, we won't know how many more years. There's still plenty to give and give away, yes.”

Munguia is on the other side of the ring. A fellow Mexican with knockout power, he has had an impressive two-fight run recently, beating Sergiy Derevyanchenko and taking out John Ryder via TKO. Munguia is ready to bring super middleweight to the Golden Boy brand.
