Hurricanes v Sixers: Leg-spinner Qais Ahmad takes three wickets in an over, celebrates with front-flip image

In a game played in 43-degree heat in stages, little-known Hobart Hurricanes leg-spinner Qais Ahmad has taken three wickets in an over against the Sydney Sixers and celebrated in style.

The 19-year old dismissed Tom Curran and Sean Abbott in back-to-back balls to find himself on a hat-trick, but he was unable to get the third consecutive pole.

But only a ball later he struck again, bowling Ben Dwarshuis and put the Hurricanes on a path to victory.

And the young Afghani leggy was absolute loving it as he tore through a dissapointing Sixers middle-order.

And social media were having plenty of fun with the Sixers batting collapse, after finding themselvs in a comfortable position early on chasing a low total of 129 set by the 'Canes.

The spinner finished with figures of 4/12 off 4 overs to well and truly put the Sixers in trouble.

The visitors were eventually bowled out for 104 despite looking like they were odds-on at the halfway mark of their innings.

The Hurricanes-Sixers clash was the first of two on Friday, with the Brisbane Heat hosting the Melbourne Stars later on in the evening.
