Andy Pettitte's No. 46 jersey will be retired by the Yankees, according to Pettitte's son, Josh.

Josh revealed the news on Twitter Sunday evening.

No official announcement has come from the team, but a source confirmed the decision to the New York Daily News.

Pettitte pitched 15 seasons with the Yankees, going 219-127. He had a successful tenure in New York, winning five World Series and being selected as a three-time All-Star. 

Other numbers retired by the Yankees include 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 23, 32, 37, 42, 44 and 49.
