Coleman Medal leader Jeremy Cameron has his lead cut in the first of the split bye rounds, though he still holds a four-goal buffer.

The GWS star kicked one goal in his side's loss to Adelaide, giving Geelong spearhead Tom Hawkins the chance to close the gap.

Hawkins booted four in the Cats' big win over Richmond, taking him three goals in front of Ben Brown in third.

The North Melbourne big man managed two on the Gold Coast, while Josh Kennedy kicked three against Sydney.

Sydney pair Tom Papley and Lance Franklin had the biggest matches of the round, both kicking five goals in the 45-point win over the Eagles.

Cameron has a chance to extend his lead at the top when the Giants head to Hobart to take on the Roos, while Hawkins and the Cats will have their feet up with the bye this week.
