Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli has re-signed with the club on a four-year deal, keeping at the club until the end of 2029.
Bontempelli was drafted by the Bulldogs as pick 4 in the 2013 national draft and has had an illustrious career with the club.
The 29-year-old has played 253 games for the club, where he has won six best and fairests, six All-Australian blazers and was a part of the Dogs' historic 2016 premiership side.
The three-time Leigh Matthews Trophy winner has been captain of the club since 2020 and led them to the Dogs' 2021 grand final appearance.

Bontempelli explained he wanted to spend some time on an important deal and thanked the club for their support.
"This Club means so much to me, it’s hard to put it into a few words to be honest. It is where I have grown as a man and spent all of my adult years coming here at 18," Bontempelli said in a Western Bulldogs press release.
“For me, it’s such a special place, the fans, the people that have supported me along the way. I’ve never not felt supported by our people here at the Club."
Bontempelli’s future with the club always seemed secure, but as the season was drawing close to the end, there were talks he may be looking at a move elsewhere.
He had signed a four-year deal in 2021 to keep him until the end of 2025, with the new contract to keep him until the end of 2029.
However, Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge has always remained steadfast that he would re-sign for the club.
Beveridge himself signed a two-year deal to stay at the club last month to keep him at the club in the short term as the 2016 premiership coach tries to take his team to finals this year.
The Bulldogs’ 2025 season has been up and down as they chase a finals berth, currently sitting in ninth spot, one and a half games out of the eight with just five rounds left.
