Western Bulldogs star midfielder Adam Treloar will miss a significant amount of time after being injured on the weekend.
Treloar has suffered a moderate-grade calf injury during the Bulldogs’ 79-point win against Richmond on the weekend.
The Bulldogs have said he will be unavailable for at least six weeks, which would take them close to the start of finals.
Treloar was subbed out in the second quarter of the game on the weekend, playing on his fourth game for the year.

Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge explained the injury was of ‘significant concern’, which is why they subbed him out of the game so early.
"Some of the lads, and Adam is one of those, is such a proud player. Sometimes they want to work through discomfort and sometimes they're not sure and can't differentiate between discomfort and injury,” Beveridge said.
“Once he came off, the boys assessed him, strapped him up – that's what he was after – he tried it out, but he was incapacitated and we had to take him off. That will never last long, any hobble gets eradicated pretty quickly for our 18 on the field."
Beveridge also conceded that Treloar has suffered ‘a fair few’ soft tissue injuries across his career.
The midfielder has played 258 games across three teams, including 85 games for the Bulldogs after being traded to the club at the end of the 2020 season.
He played 23 games for the Dogs last year and led the league for average disposals, which culminated in his first All-Australian blazer.
The Bulldogs currently sit in eighth position and will play Sydney away this week at the SCG.
