Adam Treloar's career at the Western Bulldogs could be over with the club yet to progress in contract discussions with the midfield star.

The 32-year-old - who is out of contract at the end of the season - has only played four games in 2025 because of persistent calf injuries.

Despite Treloar winning his first All Australian selection in 2024, the Bulldogs haven't prioritised the re-signing of the ex-Magpie for 2026, according to SEN's Sam Edmund.

There is a possibility Treloar could continue with a fourth AFL club next season, after starting his career at GWS in 2012 and securing a move to Collingwood in 2016.

Treloar, who signed a five-year deal with Bulldogs in 2020, could still figure in the club's 2025 finals campaign with a return from injury to the VFL likely this week.

The 258-gamer didn't play his first match of 2025 until Round 8, before being sidelined once again until Round 13.

Treloar returned to play three games in a row through Round 13-15, but was once again put of action by his troublesome calf.

If the gun midfielder can recapture form anywhere close to his performances of 2024, he could be an important factor in the Bulldogs' finals outcome this season.
