Port Adelaide has locked in another player for the long term as their coaching change continues to unfold.
Power star Jase Burgoyne has locked in his future at Alberton, signing for a four-year deal to keep him at the club until the end of the 2029 season.
Jase is the son of Power great and premiership hero Peter Burgyone and wears the number seven guernsey, which his Dad famously wore for his 10 seasons at the club.
The contract demonstrates his faith in the club and new coach Josh Carr, who will take over from Ken Hinkley next year as part of a succession plan.

Burgoyne explained he was excited to see what the future of the club will look like.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at the club so far and have made some great friendships over the journey. I’m loving how the coaches have helped my role evolve, so I can impact for the team as much as possible,” the number seven said.
“We have such a great young group, and I feel like there is a lot to look forward to.”
Selected with pick 60 in the 2021 national draft as a father-son selection, he has played 52 games so far in his career.
Burgoyne’s teammate Zac Butters is waiting to see how the coaching change goes before deciding whether to also sign on at Port.
The succession plan currently aims for Carr to take over next season, but he may have more responsibilities for the rest of the season with Port effectively out of finals contention.
Another coaching change happened this week with Port Adelaide great and Assistant coach Chad Cornes told he won’t be at the club next year.
