Port Adelaide's struggles this year could see Ken Hinkley leave the club before the season even finishes.
It has already been confirmed that 2025 will be the veteran coach's last campaign with the Power, with Josh Carr to take the reins.
However, there is a chance he could "walk away" before then.
According to 9News' Tom Morris, Hinkley will leave his post when he believes the club is no longer in contention.

Port currently sit in 15th spot, two wins outside the top eight.
If the losses continue, he may step away sooner rather than later.
"Ken Hinkley will walk away from Port Adelaide if and when he believes the club is out of contention," Morris said on Footy Classified.
"Port and Ken are perfectly aligned on this, they're very pragmatic about his future. Port aren't going to walk in and sack Ken Hinkley halfway through the year.
"They're going to let Ken make that call, if and when it does get to that stage and if it does, they'll do it with dignity and they'll do it the right way. We're not there yet, but it could be a matter of weeks away."
After a 49-point loss to Fremantle last week, Port will look to turn their season around against the Giants on Saturday.
