English cricket legend Graeme Swann has labelled West Coast 'soft' after their first quarter performance against Carlton on Sunday.
The Eagles conceded seven goals to one in the opening term, before winning the second half to go down by 34 points at Optus Stadium.
Swann, who is in Perth to promote the first Ashes Test in November, was asked to give analysis on the game when he was interviewed by Fox Footy at three quarter time.
The 46-year-old wasn't too complimentary about the Eagles' early efforts, but remarked that soccer players would struggle with AFL's physicality.

"I've got to say these Eagles have let me down today," Swann said.
When asked by former Eagle Will Schofield about the first quarter, Swann replied: "It was soft. They (West Coast) just looked panicked.
"I mean I'm a football (soccer) fan, imagine English footballers playing AFL, there is some big hits going on here.
"Imagine how much time they would spend on the deck rolling around.
"I've enjoyed today but the Eagles they need something, they need to pull something out of the bag."
Swann, who retired as England's leading off-spinner and sixth-highest wicket taker of all-time, also shocked when he mentioned which AFL team he supported.
The spin king even threw in some local knowledge about his AFL team's current and past stars.
"Sydney Swans all the way - obviously because of the name," Swann said.
"Isaac Heeney, I miss Buddy (Franklin), I miss watching Buddy play"
