The West Coast Eagles are set to face off against the Gold Coast SUNS in Round 1 of the 2025 Australian Football League Women's (AFLW) season at the Sullivan Logistics Stadium in Perth.

The Eagles had a very good start to their 2024 home-and-away season as they took home four wins in their opening six games. However, they then suffered five straight defeats to end their campaign as they missed out on qualification to the Finals Series altogether, finishing 13th on the AFLW ladder.

The SUNS, on the other hand, had a much worse season as they only managed to bag one win across the 2024 home-and-away campaign. They ultimately finished second-last on the ladder with only Collingwood boasting a worse record.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times, and the latest lineup news.
