Port Adelaide are set to face off against Fremantle in Round 1 of the 2025 Australian Football League Women's (AFLW) season on Sunday evening at Alberton Oval.

Port Adelaide had a somewhat slow start to life in 2024 after their first four games saw them end up with just one win. However, they then went on to win their next seven games in the home-and-away season, ending up sixth and making their way to the finals series. They managed to reach the Preliminary Final but ended up losing to the eventual winners, North Melbourne.

Fremantle had a very similar time through their 2024 campaign as they took home eight wins and just three losses in the home-and-away season. After a dominant Elimination Final win over Essendon, they fell to the Crows in the Semi-Final, and ended their hopes of winning the Major Premiership early.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times, and the latest lineup news.
