The Western Bulldogs are prepared for another fierce battle with GWS on Thursday night, even if the chief protagonist won't be in the Giants' line-up this time around.
Toby Greene's one-game suspension for his hit on Isaac Heeney means the skipper will have to watch the top-eight shaping Marvel Stadium clash from the sidelines.
Dogs coach Luke Beveridge labelled Greene "confrontational", but still expects there to be plenty of heat in a match-up of two of the game's modern rivals.
Ever since the Bulldogs won a preliminary final against GWS back in 2016 en route to a drought-breaking flag, there has been added fire anytime these teams face off.

"Some of the unbelievable games and the battles along the way and there's been some spite in one or two of those games," Beveridge said when asked about the rivalry.
"But as the new generations come through, I think the combativeness of both teams just continues to evolve.
"With Toby out this week, he's that kind of player. He's confrontational. Whether that means anyone in their team picks up that side of it a little bit more remains to be seen.
"It's still there, which is healthy for the game."
The 31-year-old Greene, who has a wretched Tribunal record, had tried to stay on his best behaviour this season before his moment of madness against the Swans.

Giants coach Adam Kingsley has since copped some of the blame for the way he tried to inspire his captain to lead the way in the lead-up to the latest Sydney Derby.
"I wound him up a little bit during the week," Kingsley conceded. "I need to be better with how I articulate that to him and what I'm asking him to do, being more explicit around the actions that I require.
"I'll take responsibility for that and be better next time. It was an undisciplined act. We need him to channel his aggression in a more productive action.
"He crossed the line on Friday night, I don't think it'll happen again. I have full confidence in that. I have full confidence in him. He just lost his mind for a little bit."
