Chad Warner has pledged his future to the Sydney Swans after signing a two-year contract extension, which will see him stay with the club until at least the end of the 2027 season.
The 23-year-old All-Australian midfielder has turned down significant interest from rival clubs, committing to the Harbour City for the foreseeable future. His decision follows that of his younger brother, Corey, who also secured a new deal with the Swans earlier this year.
The contract extension comes off the back of Warner’s impressive 2024 campaign, where he established himself as one of the AFL’s most dynamic midfielders.

Averaging 23.5 disposals and four clearances per game, Warner was ranked fifth in the league for score involvements and sixth for inside 50s. He also finished in the top 10 of the prestigious Brownlow Medal count with 23 votes, further solidifying his status as one of the competition’s brightest talents.
Commitment to success in Sydney
Speaking about his decision to re-sign, Warner expressed his excitement and belief in the Swans' future. "I’ve loved every minute of my time at the Swans and I’m excited for what’s ahead," he said. "I have great belief in the direction we are heading and know we have exciting times to come."
Sydney Swans Executive General Manager of Football, Leon Cameron, described the extension as a significant win for the club.

"Chad is an elite talent with an exceptional work ethic," Cameron said. "At just 23, Chad has already made a huge impact, and with his best football still ahead of him, we’re excited to see his journey continue in Sydney."
