If St Kilda superstar Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera doesn't sign a new contract at the Saints, the club is 'finished' and should merge with a new AFL franchise, claims premiership Eagle Will Schofield.

Wanganeen-Milera is out of contract at the end of the season and is weighing up a new deal at St Kilda versus returning home to South Australia with either Port Adelaide or Adelaide.

The 22-year-old has taken the AFL by storm in recent weeks, single-handedly winning the Saints last match against the Demons with two goals in the last nine seconds.

With St Kilda desperate to secure Wanganeen-Milera's signature as the most important part of their squad build, Schofield believes it is a doomsday scenario if the superstar leaves Moorabbin.

"If you don’t sign Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, you may as well ship the whole place — take it to the 20th (AFL) team, wherever that’s going to be,” Schofield told Fox Footy’s AFL Tonight.

“Not signing (him) would be a disaster. For the fan base, for the people that support the footy club, staff, teammates. I just can’t see how you don’t get this done.

“If you’re apart in years offered or dollars on the table, go and get it done. Get him to take a blank piece of paper in, write his number and then say: ‘Sign away, here’s the deal’ — and you just do it.

“It’s a no-brainer. He’s close to the best player in the game right now, and you’re telling me St Kilda, who can’t sign a ‘big fish’ ... if they don’t sign him, pack it up — it’s finished.”

Wanganeen-Milera and St Kilda will next be in action when the Saints take on North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
